After feeling this for a moment I thought to myself "I accept this feeling". The moment I accepted it, the feeling left me.
From this experience I've learned that fear is:
- A state of mind
- A friction between us and something we are fighting
When you stop fighting the fear and simply embrace the feeling with acceptance, you will eliminate most of the fears that you face. Think about it... Every time we're caught in a negative emotion we are simply fighting against it. We don't want it to be there so we try to fight against it. The moment you accept the feeling as is, is the moment the feeling will flee.
Fear is simply friction between you and something. Accept the fear, eliminate the friction, eliminate the fear.
